PHILADELPHIA (October 27, 2021) – Playfly Sports, the leading sports media, marketing and technology company, announced today the appointment of Megan Hoppel to Chief Accounting Officer. Hoppel, who previously served as the company’s Corporate Controller, was promoted after joining Playfly in December 2020.
In her new role, Hoppel will act as a financial advisor to Playfly’s executive leadership team. She will oversee the company’s accounting team with responsibilities for accounting policies and procedures, financial systems, internal controls and audit functions.
“Megan joined our team just three months after Playfly opened our doors and continues to be instrumental in building our accounting team, establishing systems and working to integrate our newly acquired companies,” said Mike Schreiber, Playfly Founder & CEO. “She is a valued member of our senior team and will play an important role in the continued aggressive growth of Playfly in the months and years ahead.”
Previously, the Philadelphia-native was a Corporate Controller at PureStar Linen Group as well as Clinical Supplies Management, a pharmaceutical services company. Hoppel was recognized for her leadership in integrating accounting technologies and processes for acquired businesses, creating synergies across the accounting organizations.
After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, Hoppel began her accounting career at Deloitte & Touche in Philadelphia. She is a licensed CPA and a member of the AICPA.
