WHSAA and Playfly Sports Announce 10-Year Multimedia Rights Agreement

BERWYN, Pa. (June 3, 2024) – The Wyoming High School Activities Association (WHSAA) and Playfly Sports, the leader in sports marketing, media, and technology, announced today a 10-year multimedia rights agreement. The deal makes Playfly the WHSAA’s exclusive rights holder and sponsorship arm effective immediately.

“We are excited about our new partnership with Playfly,” exclaimed Trevor Wilson, WHSAA Commissioner. “This will greatly benefit our schools as well as our corporate sponsors!”

Playfly will hold the media and sponsorship rights for the WHSAA. This will allow Playfly to leverage their diverse and notable sponsorship, marketing, and media solutions to grow the WHSAA brand, and awareness about the significant role school sport plays in communities across the state while elevating the experience from student-athletes.

“Our team is honored to have the trust and confidence of Mr. Wilson and the WHSAA Board of Directors,” said Brent Vander Mey, Vice President – High School Associations for Playfly Sports Properties. “The partnership with Trevor and WHSAA is a perfect fit, aligning with the focus on creating opportunities for the students and member schools they serve.”

The WHSAA joins an impressive and growing portfolio of over 35 major NCAA Division I post-secondary athletic programs, state high school athletic associations, and Canadian school sports that are managed by Playfly through integrated capabilities that expand beyond traditional multimedia rights including naming rights and valuation consulting, esports program development, digital technology offerings, and unique sponsorship innovations.

Unification through the WHSAA provides the means for member schools to cooperate in protecting and enhancing their interscholastic programs to serve students more effectively. The WHSAA recognizes that the academic program must have top priority in the educational process. While promoting the importance of the activities program, the Association recognizes that activities should not overshadow the emphasis placed on classroom work, but that the two should go together.
