Playfly Sports Properties Extends MMR Partnership with Old Dominion University Through June 2033

BERWYN, Pa. – Playfly Sports Properties, the dedicated collegiate and high school state association multimedia rights division of Playfly Sports, today announced a new 11-year agreement with Old Dominion University Athletics. The extended multimedia rights partnership will run through the conclusion of the 2033 academic year and continue Playfly and ODU’s innovative collaboration to create non-traditional marketing and revenue-driving opportunities.

The partnership between Playfly Sports Properties and ODU dates back to 2008.

“Our long-standing relationship with ODU Athletics is a great representation of Playfly’s commitment to partnership and excellence,” said Christy Hedgpeth, President of Playfly Sports Properties. “As ODU’s athletic programs and fandom continue to rise, we look forward to building upon what we have established together.

“We have enjoyed a long and highly successful partnership with Playfly Sports and their talented leadership team. It makes perfect business sense to continue our mutually beneficial partnership well into the future as Playfly truly understands the goals and objectives of ODU Athletics and our total fan experience,” ODU Director of Athletics Dr. Wood Selig said.

As part of the renewed agreement, Playfly Sports will continue to manage all aspects of the corporate partnerships’ portfolio for ODU Athletics, connecting brands with passionate Monarch fans. Corporate partners will have new engagement opportunities to bolster their own brands through event sponsorships, promotions, hospitality and innovate digital and social media opportunities. Additionally, Playfly will initiate a dedicated capital expense investment to improve multiple aspects of the ODU Athletics experience.
