Playfly Sports Names Nicolina O'Rorke Chief Financial Officer

BERWYN, PA – Playfly Sports, the Fan Focused and Data Driven leader in sports media, marketing, and technology, today announced the addition of Nicolina O’Rorke as Chief Financial Officer.

O’Rorke was most recently at McCann Worldgroup as the Global CFO, a division of Interpublic Group is a leading global creative solutions company with over 15,000 employees delivering to over 100 countries. There, she led and developed a multi-national team of finance and accounting professionals, including commercial finance and operations, financial planning and analysis, controllership and treasury and M&A.

Prior to her time at McCann, she spent 17 years at NBCUniversal with her the last six years in the sports space. From 2015-19, she was the CFO for NBC Sports Regional Networks, leading strategy, business transformation and financial operations for a portfolio of nine local cable networks that delivered over 2,400 live games to more than 43 million homes. She also served as a board member for five of the regional sports networks.

She spent her final two years at the company as the Senior Vice President of NBC Sports Enterprises and General Manager of Sports Betting & Gaming, where she delivered a five-year $500 million+ partnership deal with PointsBet while leading operations, strategy, and delivery of new business initiatives for NBC Sports Group.

Her successful career has brought in numerous recognitions including being named a 2019 Sports Business Journal Game Changer and one of CableFax’s Most Influential Multi-Ethnic Executives.

O’Rorke graduated Magna Cum Laude at Georgetown with a degree in finance and accounting before adding her MBA at the Columbia Business School. She is an alum the WISE Executive Leadership Institute @ Tuck Business School and the GE Experienced Financial Leadership program.

She will play a critical role in building upon the substantial growth that Playfly has accomplished in three and a half years. A part of that success can be credited to Ken Wajda, Chief Financial Operations Officer who will report to O’Rorke, as a lead partner in building Playfly.
