Playfly Sports Hires Morgyn Seigfried as General Manager for Playfly Max at Penn State

BERWYN, Pa. – Playfly Sports, the Fan Focused and Data Driven leader in sports media, marketing and technology, announced today that Morgyn Seigfried will join as General Manager for Playfly Max at Penn State University Athletics. In this position, Seigfried will oversee Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) revenue generation on behalf of Penn State Athletics, securing commercial NIL partnership agreements and developing comprehensive strategies to grow new income streams for the athletic department.

Playfly Max is a multi-pronged, fully integrated revenue generation engine that draws from Playfly’s deep well of revenue concepts and extensive capabilities to develop a comprehensive, customized strategy that benefits student-athletes and drives incremental revenue for schools. Playfly’s deep understanding of the MMR space will enable Max’s success, serving both current MMR partners and schools not currently engaged in an MMR deal with Playfly. Playfly’s knowledge and commercial expertise will serve all partners by enhancing future revenue-sharing contributions.

“We are continually looking for new ways to optimize the marketing and brand building opportunities for our student-athletes and we are thrilled to bring Morgyn on to lead our Playfly Max team,” said Dr. Patrick Kraft, Penn State Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics. “The more innovative and nimbler we can be in this space, the more well-equipped our student-athletes will be to thrive in the changing college landscape. Morgyn’s leadership will be key in driving the success of our future student-athlete opportunities.”

Seigfried joins Playfly with extensive experience in branding, digital, and content strategies at Temple University Athletics, University of Kansas Athletics and William Morris Endeavor.  Her experience in maximizing athlete exposure and branding, along with executing NIL opportunities with brand partners will be critical in driving incremental revenue growth for Penn State Athletics via Playfly Max.

“I am so excited to join the team and pioneer the success of Playfly Max at Penn State,” said Seigfried. “The Max program creatively meets an increasing need for new sources of revenue for athletic departments, and I look forward to supporting Penn State to modernize and commercialize their NIL opportunities.”

“Under Morgyn’s leadership, we will continue to unlock the limitless potential for revenue growth at Penn State,” said Christy Hedgpeth, President, Playfly Sports Properties. “Morgyn’s adaptability and proven experience in the NIL landscape will take the Max program to the next level and further solidify Penn State’s position as an example of the modern athletic department.”
