Berwyn, Pa. (September 11, 2023) – Playfly Sports, the Fan Focused and Data Driven leader in sports media, marketing and technology, has expanded its executive leadership team with the hiring of sports media veteran Lindsay Amstutz as its President of Media and Partnerships. Amstutz will immediately assume oversight of key revenue-driving, partnership-based divisions including Home Team Media, Playfly Digital, Playfly Access, and Playfly Premier Partnerships. She will also oversee the expansion of Playfly’s strategic media alliances across traditional broadcast, cable, and streaming partners, such as Playfly’s recent efforts with Amazon’s Prime Video broadcasting of the New York Yankees.
“Playfly has assembled an incredible group of people, services and assets that has the company perfectly positioned to lead during a time when sports, and live sports media, have never been more dynamic,” said Amstutz, a 2018 Sports Business Journal “40 Under 40” winner. “I’m incredibly eager to join the team and be a part of the next wave of growth for our commercial business units that are already leading the way in reaching, engaging, monetizing, and measuring fandom.”
In the new role, Amstutz will join Playfly’s executive leadership team, reporting to Craig Sloan, COO of Playfly Sports. A 2020 Cynopsis Top Women in Media honoree, Amstutz joins the Playfly team after serving as Chief Media Officer and Head of Integrated Marketing at OneTeam Partners. In prior stops, the California native has made impactful executive management roles with FOX Sports Regional Networks, the NBA and the LA Sparks.
“As new doors open for us in local sports rights with the changing media landscape, we continue to expand our service offerings to capture new value for us and our partners. Lindsay’s expertise and longstanding relationships across both the sports and media industries will be pivotal to that growth story,” said Sloan. “We are continuing to invest in growth-minded resources during this disruptive and evolutionary period and strongly believe Playfly’s Fandom as a Service approach will continue to drive unparalleled results for our partners, backed by Lindsay’s advisement and leadership.”
Playfly has recently extended its position within the sports media landscape, partnering directly with leagues such as MLB as they launched their own live local broadcasts, and increased its involvement within the streaming space to help Amazon monetize New York Yankees games, as well as partnering in the broadcast space via its growing relationship with Scripps. Backed by proprietary data and consulting services, Playfly now works directly with more than 2,000 brand partners to drive new revenue and maximize sponsorship efforts.
Reporting directly to Amstutz will be Playfly divisional leaders Randy Bernstein and Alan Rothenberg (Playfly Premier Partnerships), Chad Copher (Home Team Media), Rob Brett and Clark Pierce (Playfly Digital Sales), Justin Compton and Arny Schreer (Playfly Access), and Aaron Lowenberg (Strategic Alliances).
