PHILADELPHIA (March 15, 2021) – Playfly Sports, the fast-growing, full-service sports marketing company, today named Lauren Capone, an up-and-coming sports and entertainment marketing professional, as Manager of Marketing and Communications.
Capone will lead the strategy, development, and execution of Playfly’s internal and external marketing and communications initiatives. She will help craft and share the story of Playfly Sports, its properties and continued innovations. In addition, Capone’s external efforts will help drive new business opportunities for Playfly’s complete portfolio of services across the entire sports landscape.

Capone joins Playfly Sports from Comcast Spectacor and the Philadelphia Flyers, where she helped develop and drive earned media campaigns, sales and brand messaging, and advertising efforts. She was named one of Philadelphia Magazine’s “Most Influential Philadelphians” in October of 2020 for her role in the creation and maintenance of the infamous Flyers mascot, Gritty.
Before joining Comcast Spectacor, Capone served as an Athletic Communications Assistant at Temple University (2015-2017). She holds a master’s degree in sports business from Temple University’s School of Sport, Tourism and Hospitality Management, in addition to a bachelor’s degree in strategic communications. During her time at Temple, Capone was a four-year member of the DI women’s gymnastics program, earning USAG First-Team All American honors in her junior year.
