Decorated Global Marketer And Six-time CMO, Joe Tripodi To Join Playfly Sports Board Of Directors

PHILADELPHIA (August 13, 2021) – Playfly Sports, the sports marketing and media company driving digitally-based solutions, today announced the addition of Joe Tripodi to its Board of Directors. The former six-time CMO and marketing visionary will join the Playfly Sports’ Board of Directors and serve as a senior advisor. Joe’s experience and vision will help Playfly Sports expand relationships between brands and its high school, collegiate and professional sports properties.

“Today, brands are looking beyond simply sponsoring an event, team or athlete – they want to drive meaningful engagement and create deeper connections with fans,” said Playfly Founder & CEO Mike Schreiber. “We believe Playfly’s diverse portfolio – from our multi-media rights business, to naming rights, sport media, and esports – will benefit from Joe’s expert counsel, indispensable relationships, and marketing vision. We look forward to Joe having a meaningful impact across our network of companies.”

Joe served as Chief Marketing & Commercial Officer for Coca-Cola, and held similar executive marketing roles at MasterCard, Subway, Seagrams, and Allstate. His track record speaks for itself from the Mastercard “Priceless” campaign to the Coca-Cola “Open Happiness” commercials. Additionally, Joe’s extensive sponsorship experience, including strategic roll outs for properties and assets such as the Olympic Games, FIFA World Cup, and EuroCup, will directly help advance Playfly’s mission and development.

“As Playfly soon celebrates its first anniversary, I am greatly looking forward to joining the Board during a time of extreme growth,” said Tripodi. “Mike Schreiber’s vision has quickly shaped Playfly’s transformative success and the company has a tremendous runway. This is a time of massive change and disruption in the entire sports ecosystem reflected in the recent movements around sports betting, NIL, college conference realignment and more. I believe that my experience can help establish new and important brand relationships across the organization.
