Playfly is looking for a Legal Intern to join our team in either New York City, NY or Berwyn, PA. You’ll be immersed into the business side of sports and join our team of talented professionals. Through hands-on experience, projects, and mentoring, you’ll learn the fundamental skills and knowledge it takes to have a career in sports while developing yourself professionally and personally.

What You’ll Accomplish

 

  • Assist legal team with drafting, analyzing, and reviewing agreements with professional sports teams, conferences and leagues, regional sports networks, university athletic programs, state high school athletic organizations, venues and events (e.g., bowl games); content development agreements as well as agreements with sponsors, on-air talent, and others
  • Anticipate and analyze legal and contract/deal issues
  • Identify, research and analyze relevant federal, state and local requirements and translate into business solutions
  • Assist with dispute resolution and litigation oversight
  • Assist with oversight of risk management
  • Ensure compliance with the Company’s policies and procedures
  • Provide legal support across Playfly’s business units including Playfly Sports Properties, Home Team Sports, Playfly Premier Partnerships, Playfly Esports, Corporate HQ, and Playfly Tech and Digital
  • All other duties as assigned

INTERNSHIP DETAILS & APPLICATION GUIDELINES

 

  • Currently enrolled as a 2L or 3L student in good standing
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Be legally allowed to work in the US (US citizen, green card, or F1 student visa holder)
  • Availability to work January 16, 2024 – April 26, 2024, 20 hours/week
  • Please submit a current resume, unofficial transcript, and one (1) professional letter of recommendation (from a professor or former supervisor/manager) for consideration

Compensation

This intern role will be paid an hourly rate of $20.
