Playfly Sports is looking for an Account Executive, Sales & Client Services to join our team in San Antonio, TX.

The Account Executive, Sales & Client Services will work with the General Manager to pitch and close enterprise partnership agreements. This role will generate incremental sponsorship revenue to meet and exceed individual and team goals. The Account Executive will assist in managing the day-to-day operations of UTSA Sports Properties and ensuring contract deliverables are met.

What You’ll Accomplish

 

  • Assist with the development and execution of sales plans to meet and/or exceed assigned annual revenue targets
  • Identify potential sponsors for UTSA Sports Properties through networking with local business partners, researching local, regional and national companies
  • Prospect, meet and close new and renewal of high-level corporate sponsorships
  • Develop compelling sales presentations for new marketing partners by incorporating research, category dynamics and a clear understanding of partner’s marketing goals
  • Create sales proposals and draft/negotiate contracts
  • Research the sports sponsorship industry and stay current with relevant market trends and conditions
  • Execute on contract fulfillment and deliverables, including gameday operations and on-site activation
  • Manage all media/production components for the UTSA’S Sports Radio Network
  • Fulfill benefits per corporate partner agreements and developing relationship between partners and UTSA
  • Work with the General Manager in creating, planning and implementing UTSA Sports Properties and Playfly Sports Properties special events
  • Obtain and manage all necessary proof of performance records
  • Manage administrative tasks related to day-to-day office operations
  • Represent UTSA Sports Properties and Playfly Sports Properties in a professional manner
  • Entertain and cultivate sponsors in non-game day related events
  • Understand and leverage Playfly business units in order to leverage new business areas, leads, and categories
  • Provide dynamic integrated partnership packages with a focus on digital and mobile sales
  • Other job-related duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

 

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Three years of direct sales experience in the sports multi-media environment or equivalent field preferred
  • Experience with integrated and “conceptual” sales
  • Ability to generate and present ideas/concepts succinctly and provide creative solutions to prospects/clients
  • Must possess organizational skills, specifically relating to managing contract fulfillment and contract proof of performance requirements
  • Ability to be a self-starter
  • Outstanding communication skills are essential for interactions with clients, operational leaders and other senior executives
  • Ability to demonstrate professional sales presentation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Power Point
  • Understanding of KORE sales program or similar systems preferred

Travel, Lifting, Physical Requirements

 

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk-up stairs
  • Be available to travel for client presentations, championships, and other association events
  • Be available for game days, evening athletic events and radio show/telecasts in correlation to the client fulfillment responsibilities of the sports property
