Playfly Named Best Places To Work In Sports By Sports Business Journal

BERWYN, PA (March 5, 2024) – Playfly Sports, the Fan Focused and Data Driven leader in sports media, marketing and technology, is proud to share that it has received a top workplace achievement based on employee-led feedback. Announced on Monday, Sports Business Journal awarded Playfly with its inaugural Best Places to Work in Sports award in the sports agency division, placing within the top three.

SBJ named 75 organizations in its first-ever ranking, with only a handful earning top-three honors. The list highlights the top workplaces for businesses operating in sports and provides insight to job seekers and those currently employed in the sports industry. In the award’s sports agency division, Playfly joins storied sports business brands such as WME Sports and Octagon.

The Best Places to Work in Sports is an editorial initiative developed by SBJ, an industry-leading news source on the business of sports. In Fall 2023, more than 200 companies nominated themselves to be considered for this honor. Following that submission, employees at the companies engaged in a thorough surveying process managed by Quantum Workplace, the trusted human resources technology provider. The results of this survey were compiled and analyzed to determine that 75 organizations had the highest levels of employee engagement and thus were named honorees of this prestigious award.

Just three years after the company’s founding, Playfly’s people-first approach to challenging the status quo across the sports industry has yielded strong affinity from its employee base that now operates in 43 U.S. states and Canada.

“Building a supportive, diverse and passionate culture across Playfly Sports has been a leading goal of mine and we’re excited to be recognized for that hard work,” said Playfly CEO and Founder, Michael Schreiber. “I truly believe we have the best team in the sports business industry who continue to thrive on our PIPER values, fueling us through our people, purpose and passion. These awards are a direct reflection of their dedication, honesty, and commitment to building a trusted workplace.”

“As the sports industry has become more sophisticated, employees are looking for best-in-class work environments that focus on culture, development, impact and making a difference,” said Abe Madkour, Publisher and Executive Editor at SBJ. “Together with Quantum Workplace, we’ve created a trusted ranking, with context, for the sports industry highlighting the very best places to work.”

Quantum Workplace is the national research partner for 49 regional, national, and industry-specific Best Places to Work programs and their work is the most trusted and respected employer-of-choice program in the country.
