University of Tulsa Taps Playfly Sports for Campus-Wide Revenue-Generation

Playfly will generate revenue for entire university under expanded partnership

BERWYN, PA (October 2, 2025) – The University of Tulsa and Playfly Sports, the sports industry’s leading revenue maximization company, today announced an expanded partnership to generate revenue through a new donor-relationship management center. This partnership will build on Playfly’s success on campus, extending it beyond athletics and enabling the university to transform its operations through Playfly’s deep understanding of the philanthropic landscape in Tulsa.

Playfly Sports’ ticketing sales and service arm, Playfly Aspire, began working with the Golden Hurricane Athletics Department in 2021, generating more than $6M in athletics-specific gifts since arriving on campus. Playfly Aspire’s award-winning Consulting & Analytics team has consistently supported the partnership, including the implementation of new pricing recommendations to increase men’s basketball ticket volumes by 14% following an in-depth benchmarking and sales analysis study.

Building on this success, Playfly and UTulsa have expanded the scope of their partnership to establish a first-of-its-kind Donor Relationship Management Center in Tulsa. The center will add a leadership annual giving officer and an annual giving coordinator to the team on site, both dedicated to strengthening donor engagement and increasing scholarship support for the university.

“This expanded partnership with Playfly represents a bold step forward in how we engage our donor community across the entire university,” said James Corey, UTulsa’s vice president of university advancement. “By leveraging Playfly’s proven expertise and innovative approach, we are not only enhancing our fundraising capabilities but also building a more personalized and data-driven donor experience. This collaboration will help us unlock new levels of philanthropic support, particularly for scholarships, and ensure we are well-positioned to meet the evolving needs of our students and campus.”

“Athletic departments and schools are under more pressure than ever before to unlock new revenue streams, and we have a proven track record of helping to do just that through creative activations and innovation,” said Gil Beverly, President of Playfly Aspire. “We are looking forward to applying our expertise beyond athletics to support UTulsa’s development efforts.”

Playfly Aspire created the outsourced ticket sales niche, revolutionizing intercollegiate athletics with its first Fan Relationship Management Center in 2009. This scope expansion at The University of Tulsa will showcase the profound philanthropic impact of Playfly’s data-driven approach to strategy, collaboration and industry-leading relationship building.
