TACOMA PUBLIC SCHOOLS PARTNER WITH PLAYFLY SPORTS IN MULTIMEDIA RIGHTS AGREEMENT

TACOMA, WA / BERWYN, PA (July 30, 2025) – Tacoma Public Schools (TPS) and Playfly Sports, the sports industry’s leading revenue maximization company, have announced a multi-year multimedia rights partnership. Playfly will manage the scoreboard advertising and sponsorship rights surrounding athletics for TPS’s high schools and public assembly facilities effective immediately, enabling it to utilize its extensive and renowned sponsorship, marketing, and media solutions to expand Tacoma’s reach and impact.

 

“We are excited about the possibilities of this partnership,” said Josh Garcia, Superintendent, Tacoma Public Schools. “This will enable us to collaborate with community businesses in support of students. The funds received through advertising will directly support athletic programming across the district.”

TPS is home to 58 schools including five high schools: Foss, Lincoln, Mount Tahoma, Silas, and Stadium. Its high schools boast a rich legacy of athletic achievement, with highlights including Lincoln High School’s back-to-back state basketball titles, Mount Tahoma High’s historic football championships, and Silas High’s record 24 consecutive state swimming titles. Notable alumni such as NFL stars Lawyer Milloy, Jon Kitna, Marcus Trufant, and Ahmad Rashad, along with Olympic champions Kaye Hall, Leo Randolph, and Sugar Ray Seales, underscore the district’s reputation for athletic excellence.
