Playfly Sports is looking for a Director, Sales to join our team in Dallas, TX.

The Director, Sales will be responsible for generating incremental sponsorship revenue on behalf of Toyota Music Factory to meet and exceed individual and team goals for Playfly. The person in this role will work on-site with the staff at Toyota Music Factory and Playfly Sports Properties senior level staff to pitch and close partnership agreements.

Toyota Music Factory is an arts & entertainment district located in Dallas, TX. It is designed to be an “urban center” that promotes commerce, culture, and community. It includes live entertainment weekly, dining open daily and year-round, and more: there is an indoor/outdoor music pavilion with 8,000 capacity and 100 events annually, 50,000 square feet of plaza space, 18 restaurants & bars, and a 100,000 square foot office tower. It receives over 2 million in annual attendance. Playfly Sports has partnered with Toyota Music Factory to drive sponsorship sales to this venue and support its goal to provide value to both public and private stakeholders.

 

What You’ll Accomplish

  • Develop a deep understanding of Toyota Music Factory’s business & operations and cultivate close working relationships with Toyota Music Factory staff
  • Create and execute a dynamic sales plan to meet and exceed individual & overall property sales goals for Toyota Music Factory
  • Drive sponsorship revenues with the creation, execution, valuation, packaging, category development, database management, lead generation and preparation of presentation materials
  • Identify potential sponsors for the property through networking with key stakeholders and business partners and researching local, regional and national companies
  • Sell inventory related to both physical and digital assets
  • Support Toyota Music Factory staff with brand activations
  • Work with the Toyota Music Factory to create sales inventory, revenue projections, and sponsorship strategy for the property assets and submit an official plan on an annual basis
  • Develop sales presentations for new marketing partners
  • Maintain a robust pipeline of prospects
  • Manage key objectives, create proposals and draft/negotiate contracts throughout the sales process
  • Develop key marketing objectives with clients through needs assessment and a collaborative sales process
  • Entertain and cultivate sponsors during in person meetings and events, including attending events at Toyota Music Factory when relevant
  • Represent the Toyota Music Factory and Playfly Sports in a professional manner
  • Work with the Toyota Music Factory to research the music & entertainment sponsorship industry and stay current with relevant market trends and conditions
  • Other job-related duties as assigned

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 8-10 years of direct sales experience in the entertainment multi-media environment required
  • Some experience in a management, lead or mentorship role preferred
  • Proven success in hitting individual sales goals on a regular basis
  • Familiarity with KORE or similar CRM system
  • Knowledge of the Dallas market and professional network in Dallas preferred
  • Experience with integrated and “conceptual” sales
  • Ability to generate and present ideas and concepts succinctly and provide creative solutions to prospects/clients
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Demonstrated professional sales presentation skills

 

Travel, Lifting, Physical Requirements

  • Must be available for events (may include evenings)
  • Must be available to travel for client presentations
  • Must be able to work nights and weekends around events
